Pictures in Stories

A post from a Captain Power and the Soldiers of Future  mentioned about putting pictures in stories and asked whether we like it done to or not. For me, I like doing it or seen being done because not only it livened the story but it afforded a glimpse to the author's creativeness.

This was my attempt to bring a scene to the visual world.

From the "The Charmed Paladins"
I miss doing this I can't seem to get back to my usual PS less than newbie skills. lolz.

Scenes from the Cutting Room....(maybe)

EXT - Forest - Night

One girl digs like her life depends on it. The other two girls flank her in defensive postures. They look very formidable.

Linda
You need any help?

Tammy
No, no,no.

The rapid shoveling of the dirt makes Tammy's voice tight that she sounded annoyed. She doubles her effort while trying to keep with the deadline.

Tammy
Just guard.

Bianca reacts in amusement as she affords the two friends with a side-long glance.

Do you enjoy traveling or would you rather be at home?

I thought I do this Charmed Paladins style....

Credit to 1photos.com
Linda: I enjoy traveling because it keeps whoever is after me the unwanted difficulties of trying to pin me down just to vanquish me but circumstances now prevents that so I'm doubly alert.

Tammy: As as long as DJ's with me, travel or stay will be fine with me.

Bianca:  I'm getting tired of traveling really. Ever since I perfect my first spell I was always out. I like to smell the roses this time around.

Florence: Travel of course! I've chosen the right job for it too and I'm still loving every second of it.

In my head I paint a picture..

Future Wyatt orbing in
Forever we go
We drift alone

You may come
Draw up your feet
To sit beside me for a while
Or you stroll away yet again

In my head I paint a picture
Your golden light
Encompassing, healing
and real.

This is one of Linda's poems about Wyatt that she kept in her secret files. Visit Carry On Tuesday for more about the prompt. I thought I give it a TCP-twist.

Charming Videos

It was a free day again for this week and I've started checking out Charmed clips over at Youtube, trying to get some inspiration running and thinking what's TCP trailer would be. I've managed to get a few clips from Forever Charmed and looking for a longer sequence for the ring  that Prue telekinetically sent towards her father. I may have to check the episode guide for it.

I can't get enough of Cole's hand trying to snatch the BOS too. What a perfect setting for "Enemy Within"

Waking up to a TCP-connected dream?

Could it be another scene?  I don't know but here was how it all went.

Melinda was cornered in an alley. All her powers are gone somehow. She appeared to have been running for dear life from a nightmare that doesn't like to end. She was trapped and as she turned around to face the nameless evil, she knew it was her end. *gasped* She was calling out for her brothers but they can't hear her. She slid down and tucked her body. She envied the scurrying mouse as it found sanctuary in his hole.

Charmed Comic Fansite

Credit www.charmedcomicsfan.jimdo.com
A good site that talks more about the Charmed Comic series published by Zenescope is Charmed Comic Fan
site. It has an insightful interview of  Paul Ruditis who has penned "Leo Rising," "As Puck Would Have It," "The Brewing Storm," and "The Warren Witches Anthology."

I tremendously enjoyed reading the interview because we get a rare glimpse of the evolution of the story, its way to its approval then the goes into the artist hands to visualize them into panels. Once a few pages from the artist are sent back for some more approval, the process picks up that it finds its way to the colorist then finally the letterer who's in charge of laying out the dialogue, captions, and effects. Amazing! I think I would have a field day if I end up visiting their work place.

The site also has the fun The Charmed Comic Awards where you can vote for your favorite issue, cover art, main character favorite, comeback favorite and many more.  It also takes you to breakdowns of the comic such as Previews, Submissions of Early Art, the Creative Team and many more. Do check the site!

Charmed Comics

It was by accident when I came across "Charmed Comics."  I was looking up some information on Melinda Prudence Halliwell   and saw the comic panel of young Melinda. That instant snatched  my attention and wanted to know more about this format. The comics series is was published by Zenescope and it was launched March 15, 2010.

The story took place a year and a half after "Forever Charmed."

I was reading through some of the posted storyline excerpts and I'm very happy that the comics writers brought back previous innocents such as Brittany Reynolds and Tyler Micheals.  I think it would be an absolute thrill to call back established characters seen from the series because for me, it can only expand the world of Charmed that wasn't made possible for the TV series to do.  I hope the writers will bring more characters from the past seasons whether good or bad into their story arcs. I wonder if the 7th son of the 7th child will make an appearance. ☺

As usual, the seventh issue "The Heir Up There" with Leo and Piper on cover piqued my curiosity. I hope the comics will find it's way here and the Sourcebook.

Posting pictures problems

Credit raisinghope.maxupdates.tv
I don't know if I'm suffering from slow internet connection again because I couldn't upload the pictures the shortest way. So I've tried via Photobucket.  Anyway, one change in my virtual casting for  Melinda Halliwell, I've chosen Shannon Woodward (after briefly seeing her in Raising Hope) and I'll see if I can catch her series again next week.

New Version? LOlz.

I was doing the usual housekeeping chores for this little blog and another version of TCP sprang into my mind. It would still bear the same name but the setting will be different. Can you see Wyatt Halliwell working as a detective? What about Chris and their sister Melinda? hmmm.....

"Other Characters" Page

And who I pictured to portray each of them. I haven't finished transferring here though.

Episode One: The Charmed Paladins

Credit www.fotosearch.com
It would take another week or so before the script will be up. I'm taking my Saturdays TCP time to make up some lag time. I've started to copy and paste the material from .doc to Final Draft ( and yes, I know there's a way to convert .doc file to .pdf.) but I've found myself adding tidbits for the prologue. The italics were added.

Quotes and the last remaing page

Quotes from the pilot episode are in. Well, for me those were memorable. If you feel there are more to add from the episode, let me know and I'll add it.

Oh, I can only have one more tab to use. I'll have to use it wisely now. *sigh* I also found out that if I edit the About Me section, it will also change my other blog. So that's the disadvantage of creating another blog under the same account. Oh, well. I moved the site's description under the header.

Music Room!

Credit www.layoutsparks.com
Music Room is open! You'll find tracks played throughout the creation of each story for this little spin-off.

I decided to do  use short versions of the listed tracks because I realized  the pilot episode had a staggering seven tracks alone. *grinz* You can always check the fuller versions of the songs via the artists' discography found at their respective homepages and then if you love their songs, go and buy a copy too. Of course, if you're already their fan that's a plus. You can play the track whilst reading the episode.

The Pages tabs and site chores

I've found the answer and changed the tabs accordingly. The instruction I read from a site was quite different and needed lots of work. I was happy that through some trial and error of clicking icons from Blogger brought up the configure page window. I was able to move the tabs around. I'll be doing more housekeeping chores for this site. I don't have a banner yet. I hope I have enough stored pictures.

I don't know if there's a center alignment for the blog's description. Haha. "Magic's Might" seems too-o short. Hehehe. A blurb.

Almost freaked out...

After scrounging flashdrives that held my TCP notes and after glaringly scrolled to loads of document titles bearing similar headings, I found what I was looking for! The character profiles. Whew. Oh, why I do this to myself? I know there's an efficient way to be organized.

I'm still in the process of adding pages and I don't know if I can rearrange the pages to the way I want:  Wyatt's page, Chris, Victor and then Florence. Hmm. Any ideas?
